Waco, Texas — Aug. 17, 2025 — Baylor University’s School of Education Online Learning unit has announced the launch of a new suite of fully online graduate programs designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in instructional design, digital learning, and technology-enhanced education.
Beginning Fall 2025, Baylor will offer three new programs tailored for educators, corporate trainers, healthcare professionals, and career changers seeking to lead innovation in learning design:
- Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology (MS-LDT)
- Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and Technology (C-LDT)
- Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning (C-OTL)
These programs are built to support professionals across industries in developing cutting-edge skills for designing engaging, effective learning experiences in digital environments.
Program Highlights Include:
- Fully Online Delivery: Flexible asynchronous coursework paired with live virtual sessions allows students to participate from anywhere in the world.
- Accelerated Completion: The MS-LDT can be completed in as few as 12 months, while certificate programs can be finished in just 4 months.
- Technology Labs: The MS-LDT includes three interactive labs offering hands-on experience with multimedia production tools and software.
- Prior Learning Assessment: Career learning design professionals have the opportunity to submit evidence of their professional expertise to receive credit for select courses.
- AI and Emerging Tech Integration: Students will engage directly with artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies shaping the future of instructional design.
Graduates of the MS-LDT program will also earn a credit-bearing Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning, providing two credentials in one streamlined pathway.
