A training modality is a technique or method used to deliver training to learners. Examples of training modalities include in-person learning, remote learning, eLearning, microlearning, simulations, collaborative learning and lectures, among others. The choice of modality depends on the objective of the training, the resources available and the needs of the learner. See also, multimodal learning.
