AUSTIN, T.X. — Feb. 4, 2026 —  Abilitie, a simulation-based leadership development company, announced today the launch of Case Challenges, a new short-form experiential learning solution designed to help leaders build real-world decision-making skills through focused, facilitated practice.

Despite significant investment in leadership training, many organizations struggle to help leaders apply what they have learned when real pressure hits. Case Challenges are designed to close that gap by giving leaders a place to practice judgment, communication, and prioritization in realistic business situations.

Each Case Challenge is a two-hour, instructor-led cohort experience where participants work in small teams inside an unfolding business scenario. Leaders must navigate competing priorities, limited information, and interpersonal dynamics while making decisions that visibly shape outcomes.

“Leadership capability is built through experience.,” said Luke Owings, CPO at Abilitie. “Case Challenges are intentionally designed to give leaders concentrated practice with the decisions that define their effectiveness, helping them translate insight directly into action on the job.”

The experience combines AI-enabled interaction with expert human facilitation. Technology captures and organizes behavioral signals as leaders move through the scenario, giving facilitators clearer evidence to anchor debriefs and helping teams see patterns that are hard to spot in traditional training. The result is richer reflection, stronger peer learning, and more consistent development outcomes across cohorts.

From an organizational perspective, Case Challenges provide a practical way to target specific leadership capabilities without lengthy program timelines. Sessions focus on common leadership friction points such as navigating critical conversations, influencing without authority, creating strategic alignment, managing profitability, and leading through change.

“Organizations need development solutions that respect leaders’ time while still delivering depth,” said Bjorn Billhardt, CEO of Abilitie. “Case Challenges allow companies to focus development where it matters most and give leaders the confidence that comes from having practiced tough decisions before the stakes are real.”

Case Challenges are now available globally and can be used as standalone development experiences or integrated into broader leadership programs.
