With a new year upon us, now is a great time to reflect on the deals that took place in the corporate training market during the fourth quarter of 2025. Last quarter’s deals took place across market sectors, with notable activity taking place in the artificial intelligence (AI), workforce development and learning technology segments.

Here are the deals we took note of last quarter:
Learning Tech and AI
The learning tech and AI sectors saw the most traction last quarter.
This aligns with predictions shared in Training Industry’s 2026 Trends Report, which notes, “The one area of continued growth is learning technologies. New features and innovative applications, including AI-driven coaching and mentoring, are driving higher prices and sustaining momentum in this segment of the market.”
Q4 deals included:
- Rapport, a provider of real-time facial and full-body animation AI-powered avatars and a division of Speech Graphics, announced the acquisition of Aquifer Motion, an AI-powered animation platform.
- Learning tech provider Learning Pool acquired WorkRamp, a learning management system (LMS) platform designed for small- to medium-sized businesses and extended enterprise use.
- Mindsmith, an AI-native eLearning platform, announced a $4.1 million seed funding round led by Next Frontier Capital, with participation from WndrCo, Grix and others.
- DataCamp, an online learning platform for data and AI skill building, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Dubai-based Optima, an AI-native learning platform for building data and AI skills.
- LearnUpon, a Dublin-headquartered learning technology provider, announced the acquisition of Courseau, an AI-assisted course authoring platform.
- Wearables technology firm StretchSense secured its latest external investment, a $2.3 million round led by PXN Ventures and supported by Scottish Enterprise, as the company aims to drive the global expansion of its extended reality (XR) training glove that enables organizations to immerse staff in simulated environments.
Workforce Development
In the workforce development sector:
- com, Inc., a global provider of compliance and professional education, announced the acquisition of UST Training. Tom Anderson, CEO of 360training, shares in the press release, “UST Training has set the benchmark for UST operator education and environmental safety. By integrating their industry-leading content and Tank Savvy™ brand with our scalable online learning platform, we can better serve regulated markets with high-quality, approved training that protects communities and the environment.”
- Fitch Learning has completed its acquisition of Moody’s Analytics Learning Solutions and the Canadian Securities Institute, adding to its financial training and certification portfolio.
- CM Labs Simulations, a provider of simulation-based training for heavy equipment operations, announced that it has acquired GlobalSim, a developer of advanced training simulators.
Content Development
- Shortly after its acquisition of WorkRamp, Learning Pool acquired Elucidat, a cloud-based authoring platform.
- Coursera, Inc. (NYSE: COUR) and Udemy, Inc. (NASDAQ: UDMY) announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Coursera will combine with Udemy in an all-stock transaction. Based on the closing prices of Coursera and Udemy common stock on Dec. 16, 2025, the implied equity value of the combined company is approximately $2.5 billion.

- Blended learning solutions provider goFLUENT acquired the business operations of Learnship Networks GmbH.

Compliance Training
In the compliance training sector:
- Activated Insights, an experience management and workforce enablement platform, announced the acquisition of CareAcademy, a caregiver education and compliance automation provider.
- Tang+Company, a provider of occupational health, employee screening and workforce training solutions, announced the acquisition of CanQualify, LLC, a platform specializing in supplier prequalification and risk management.
Other Deals By Market Sector
Personalization
- Skillwell, an immersive simulations provider formerly known as ETU, announced that it has agreed to merge with Realizeit, a global leader in AI-based adaptive learning.

Leadership
- Franklin Covey Co., an organizational performance improvement provider, announced that it is entering into a $20 million 10b5-1 trading plan (the “Plan”) to facilitate the repurchase of the company’s common stock under its existing $50 million share repurchase authorization approved by the board of directors in August 2025.
Strategy, Alignment and Planning
- Mediazoo, a learning and communications agency, has acquired Uncertainty Experts, a behavior change company known for shifting uncertainty into opportunity. “The strategic move combines Mediazoo’s expertise in driving large-scale learning and awareness transformation with Uncertainty Experts’ proven methods for shifting mindsets and building resilience in the most volatile business environments,” the press release shares.
