Similarly, promotion criteria that prioritize tenure, nepotism or established networks over demonstrated potential and competency unintentionally exclude talented individuals from underrepresented backgrounds.\r\n<h3>Cultural Factors<\/h3>\r\nMentorship or sponsorship programs can advance leadership opportunities, yet underrepresented employees often lack access to these relationships.
