The term was popularized in the 1990s through the work of Dr. Peter Senge and his book, \"The Fifth Discipline, the Art and Practice of a Learning Organization.\" The five disciplines, or practices of a learning organization are: systems thinking, personal mastery, mental models, shared visions, and team learning. The \"Learning Organization\" title is also given to business units responsible for managing training within an enterprise.\r\n
