In fact, Training Industry <a href=\"https:\/\/store.trainingindustry.com\/products\/training-in-the-time-of-covid-how-learning-and-development-is-responding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pulse research<\/a> found that remote training went from accounting for 50% of training delivery to 75% of training delivery as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, a trend <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/articles\/strategy-alignment-and-planning\/trends-2022-enhancing-the-efficiency-of-the-training-function\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we expect to continue<\/a> as more companies embrace remote and hybrid work and learning.\r\n\r\nThus, it makes sense that the eLearning and learning technologies sectors of the market saw ample activity last quarter.\r\n\r\nHere are the deals we took note of:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Udemy, a longtime leader in online learning, <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/e-learning\/udemy-targets-4-billion-valuation-in-a-major-edtech-ipo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed for a U.S. initial public offering (IPO)<\/a> with a price of $29 per share. The company is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-10-28\/udemy-is-said-to-raise-421-million-in-top-of-range-ipo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">now valued at<\/a> about $4 billion.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fiverr expanded its online learning offerings with <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/e-learning\/fiverr-expands-online-education-offering-with-acquisition-of-creativelive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the acquisition of<\/a><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Volley, an <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/glossary\/asynchronous-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asynchronous<\/a> video messaging app, <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/e-learning\/fiverr-expands-online-education-offering-with-acquisition-of-creativelive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> a $5.5 million investment from top investors and a group of all-star angels.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>360Learning, a leader in collaborative learning, <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/learning-technologies\/360learning-raises-200m-plans-to-reboot-corporate-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">secured a $200 million investment<\/a> from three investors: Sumeru, SoftBank and Silver Lake Waterman.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>BetterUp, a virtual professional coaching provider, closed a <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/leadership\/betterup-raises-300-million-series-e-at-4-7-billion-valuation-making-the-company-the-largest-mental-health-and-coaching-startup-in-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$300 million Series E<\/a> funding round, bringing the company\u2019s valuation to $4.7 billion and total funding to $600 million.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Hone, a training platform that offers live, online learning<a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/learning-technologies\/hone-raises-16-million-in-series-a-to-revolutionize-the-corporate-training-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">, raised $16 million<\/a> in a Series A funding round led by F-Prime Capital.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Instructure Holdings, Inc., a digital learning ecosystem provider, entered into an agreement <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/learning-technologies\/instructure-to-acquire-kimono-to-expand-integration-and-interoperability-with-the-instructure-learning-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to acquire Kimono<\/a>, a leader in cloud-based data integration and interoperability.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Upskilling and coaching platform GoCoach <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/learning-technologies\/gocoach-raises-3-5-million-seed-round-led-by-panoramic-ventures\/https:\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/learning-technologies\/gocoach-raises-3-5-million-seed-round-led-by-panoramic-ventures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">secured an oversubscribed venture round<\/a> of $3.5 million led by Panoramic Ventures. This doesn\u2019t come as a surprise: Training Industry research found that training on cloud computing and security\/cybersecurity were in high demand in 2021, as organizations needed \u201cquick and efficient digital transformation.\u201d\r\n\r\nIn addition, IT and technical workers needed continuous upskilling and reskilling to adapt to market shifts and help their companies stay competitive, another trend we expect to continue in 2022.\r\n\r\nHere are the IT and technical training deals we saw last quarter:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>NIIT Limited, a global skills and talent development company and manager training services provider, <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/it-and-technical-training\/niit-expands-its-managed-training-services-portfolio-with-a-comprehensive-digital-technology-skills-offering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> that it has acquired a major stake in RPS Consulting Private Limited, a provider of learning solutions on digital technologies.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Digital curriculum solutions provider Imagine Learning <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/it-and-technical-training\/imagine-learning-acquires-robotify-innovative-new-platform-designed-to-teach-coding-through-virtual-robotics-simulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acquired Robotify<\/a>, a digital curriculum start-up.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Skillsoft, a global leader in digital learning, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Codecademy, a leading online learning platform for technical skills, for approximately $525 million in cash and stock. Codecademy will significantly expand Skillsoft\u2019s capabilities in the high-growth tech and dev segment, Jeffrey R. Tarr, chief executive officer of Skillsoft, said <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/it-and-technical-training\/skillsoft-to-acquire-codecademy-a-leading-platform-for-learning-high-demand-technical-skills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the press release<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Strategy, Alignment and Planning<\/h2>\r\nThe strategy segment of the corporate training market saw two deals last quarter:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Korn Ferry announced that it has previously entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Lucas Group. \u201cWe are seizing this opportunity to help clients find the right talent who are highly agile with specialized skills and expertise to help them drive superior performance,\u201d Gary D. Burnison, Korn Ferry\u2019s CEO, said <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/strategy-alignment-and-planning\/korn-ferry-to-acquire-lucas-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the press release<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Trivian, a leader in employee experience management, <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingindustry.com\/press-release\/strategy-alignment-and-planning\/tivian-acquires-guidespark-to-revolutionize-the-employee-experience-with-the-first-intelligent-experience-management-platform-for-hr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acquired GuideSpark<\/a>, a leader in change communication.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Compliance Training<\/h2>\r\nDeals in the compliance training market segment included:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Lecturio, a learning solutions provider for the law, medicine, tax and business industries, raised $45 million in growth capital led by Sterling Partners.
